You can cover the base of the wreath with various nuts, add some brighter details and the wreath is already complete. If you intend to make the base of the wreath with dark branches (wicker, spruce or hem), I would suggest using light dried fruits such as walnuts or peanuts (in whole shells). The hazelnuts may be too dark and too small to make much of an impact, but they work great as a neutral background if you save some and stick more.

Don’t expect to find many of them because the forest animals have already taken them and hidden them, but you will definitely find them for your wreaths. In the forest the pine cones will be small, moist and crowded together. Heat them in the oven with a low temperature, they will expand well.
You can glue the pine cones to the wreath (you’ll need a lot of glue), but you can simply screw them on with string or string. Do you have glossy paint? Well, spray. Do you have colored modeling clay or plasticine? Ok, make some bubbles the size of half a fingernail and stick them on a pine cone: it won’t look so black anymore, it will look a bit like a Christmas tree.

Among the special things, what I would definitely recommend buying is hot glue (the cheapest ones cost a few euros). You don’t have to worry about threads, glue, threads – just attach the decorative elements to the base. Since the purpose of the Advent wreath is simply to rest on the table and not to turn or transport it, hot glue can also be used to glue vertical, unstable, fragile, etc. parts.
You can buy it at a flower shop or plant market pine branches or ready-made wreaths with dogwood twigs. This is a great relief if you don’t have any twigs and want some greenery. It is also a great relief if you have decided to organize an Advent girls’ party: just buy the Christmas wreaths and decorate them during the party.
