First, please note the IP protection rating. This indicates the product’s resistance to moisture, rain, and cold. A higher number indicates better protection. For outdoor lighting fixtures and garlands, the minimum protection rating is IP44.
Lower protection ratings (e.g., IP20) are suitable for indoor use: living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens. Higher protection ratings are more suitable for places with higher humidity, such as bathrooms. However, since we’re discussing Christmas decorations, let’s get back to the main point.

How do you know if you will survive the winter?IP44 means the device is resistant to fine particles (such as dust) and splashes of water. Therefore, the risk of water or snow contacting electrical components is extremely low.
In short: If you’re unsure whether your string lights are suitable for outdoor use, read the instructions on the packaging. String lights with an IP44 or higher protection rating are safe to use to decorate your garden. This is the first and most important point when designing your Christmas outdoor lighting.
2. LENGTH OF THE CONNECTION CABLE
It is better if during the design of the house sufficient electrical outlets were provided outside: on the terrace, at the entrance to the house, along the roof. After all, it can be assumed that in the future Christmas outdoor lighting will be relevant when you want to give your home a festive spirit.

For example, you might decorate your ceiling with string lights, adorn your stair railings with lamps, and install fluorescent tubes on your terrace, only to find the overall effect is discordant. Individually, each element is beautiful, but together they fail to create a harmonious whole.
Mismatched light colors are a common problem. The solution is simple: choose either all warm white or all cool white. Some warm white lights have a yellowish tint, while others have a bluish tint. Designers can create stunning combinations by mixing different colors, but for the average user, choosing specific colors is wiser.
